Earth Quake in The UNITED STATES
Rare Nebraska Earthquake Strikes Near Wymore

A small earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale was detected late Sunday evening, just before midnight, centered six and a half miles southeast of Wymore. United States Geological Survey measured the tremor at a depth of just over three miles. Beatrice Communications received some 30 reports from the public in the Wymore area who felt the quake. Damage is not typically noted until reaching 5 – 5.5 on the Richter scale.
